The second in Gunita's || R O O T E D I N T E R S E C T I O N S || series, this entire day will be focused on the intersections between Maglalatik and Waacking as well as that of Tinikling and House.
Each pairing is a two hour workshop and includes a roundtable discussion connecting the movement to our sense of identity and how it plays a role within our processing of the diaspora. Each movement will be brought into focus as to how our creative practice is a means toward decolonization.
Intergenerational by nature, we mean to explore the various ways generation to generation could hold conversation both verbally and physically.
